Duits/Italiaanstalige snowboard en toerskigids van Trentino en Alto Adige.
Snowboard-mountaineering sounds like Ski-mountaineering. There are differences, of course, but these two activities have lots in common, starting with the snow, the physical effort, the emotions, the weather conditions and the various hazards you have to be aware of, with avalanches being the most important.
With this manual/guide, the first of its kind in Italy with its technical and theoretical approach, the author explains this new winter sports discipline where the snowboard is used in an Alpine mountaineering context.
With lots of advice on how to best tackle climbs and descents and how to safely prepare and carry out a snowboard-mountaineering outing, there are many aspects of this activity on which to reflect.
The 60 routes, each carefully chosen by the author, complete this work and make this guide a “must have” for all those who want to start to explore the mountains with snowshoes on their feet and snowboards on their backs, and for all the ski-mountaineers looking for new routes and new adventures.
